THEA 110 Intro to Theatre Arts Basic orientation and historical perspective to the art of theatre. THEA 130 The Art and Craft of Theatre Introduction to basic principles, theory, and techniques of theatrical performance. Examines theatre with emphasis on participatory roles. For prospective majors and minors. THEA 161 Acting I Fundamental skills and techniques of acting. THEA 201/301 Theatre Practicum Participation in various activities of theatrical production. May be repeated. THEA 229 Creative Dramatics The study of theatre games, improvisations and techniques as they relate to the education and development of creativity in children. THEA 250 Readings in Dramatic Literature Readings in dramatic literature from ancient to contemporary, with a strong emphasis on written and verbal analysis of realist texts. THEA 261/361 Acting II Practical application of fundamental skills to textual work. THEA 270 Stagecraft An introduction to the crafts and technologies of theatre production.
