ENVT 105 Introduction to Surveying Basic methods in the use of surveying instruments for obtaining field data, valid measurements and methods of recording data. ENVT 110 Introduction to Geographic Positioning Systems An overview of geographic positioning systems (GPS) including theory, implementation and operations of GPS data gathering systems. ENVT 115 Geographic Information Systems Topics include data structures and basic functions, methods of date capture and sources of data, and the nature and characteristics of spatial data. Emphasis is on the use of Arcview GIS software. ENVT 270 Water Resource Management Designed to help students integrate the complex, interdisciplinary aspects of the biological, chemical, and physical sciences into a holistic approach to managing water resources. WATR 120 Mechanical Maintenance An introduction to the selection, operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in water and wastewater systems. Equipment includes centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, blowers, air compressors, motors, dry and liquid chemical feed equipment. WATR 140 Irrigation, Installation and Maintenance Designed to give students a working knowledge of installing and repairing irrigation systems.
