HUM 101 Introduction to Humanities I
This course is designed to introduce beginning university students to the major disciplines of the Humanities: philosophy, history, religion, drama, music, and art.

HUM 102 Introduction to Humanities II
This course is designed to introduce beginning university students to the major disciplines of the Humanities: literature, philosophy, history, religion, drama, music and art.

HUM 200 Introduction to Fine Arts
This course is intended as an introduction to the fine arts, primarily visual arts, and music. It is to be an introduction to the stylistic character and cultural climate of the important artistic eras of Western Civilization, and is not merely a history of music or fine arts. This course also considers the multicultural contributions of the non-Western world to our Western heritage. The focus varies from semester to semester. Prerequisite: sophomore standing.

HUM 201 Civilization, Thought, and Literary Heritage
A course that provides a chronological framework for the exploration of Western culture within a global context, emphasizing a humanistic approach to history, religion, philosophy, and literature.

HUM 202 Fine Arts and Aesthetics
A course designed to acquaint the student with the development of music, the visual arts, and aesthetics within the context of the development of world civilization.

HUM 210 Integrated Cultural Studies
Interdisciplinary class designed to provide basic conversational language skills while studying culture and geography of a designed society.

HUM 211 Integrated Cultural Excursion
Intensive study session within the society studied in Integrated Cultural Studies; tour the society to attain first hand exposure to the culture while using language skills.

HUM 212 Integrated Cultural Enrichment
This course is an integrated cultural enrichment in the humanities focusing on experiences in graphic arts, performance arts, and history.

HUM 251 Humanities Survey
Integrated course in art, literature, and music from the Classical Era through the Middle Ages.

HUM 252 Humanities Survey
Integrated course in art, literature, and music from the Gothic Period through the Seventeenth Century.

HUM 253 Humanities Survey
Integrated course in art, literature, and music from the Eighteenth Century to the Present Time.

HUM 254 Non-Western Humanities
An integrated survey of the art, literature, philosophy, and history of a particular non-western culture. The specific culture studied from year to year will vary but could rotate among Japanese, African, pre-Columbian American, Chinese, or Indian.
