The North Dakota University System is committed to utilizing current technology to create an enhanced human environment, positioning itself to utilize future technologies for the benefit of NDUS students and employees and then citizens of the State of North Dakota. NDUS - System Information Technology Services (SITS) is responsible for providing IT services at the enterprise level and consists of several departments. These include: ConnectND (Human Resources, Financial, Campus Solutions, and Ancillary administrative systems); HECN North and South (hosting services with academic services provided by Information Technology Service at North Dakota State University, the HECN-S and administrative services provided by Information Technology Systems and Services at the University of North Dakota, the HECN-N site); North Dakota Interactive Video Network (IVN) providing video and other conferencing services and support; Online Dakota Information Network (ODIN) which provides library administrative management services, and the Office of the CIO. North Dakota University System Online (NDUSO) is an internet-based system-wide collaboration for the delivery of collaborative course/certificates/programs. Because of its significant use of information technologies it is considered a significant information technology area reporting to the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.
