BISMARCK, N.D. - "After months of study by the ND Attorney General, there remains no evidence that President Dean Bresciani, or anyone else at NDSU, intentionally deleted emails after receiving any open records requests. We support Dr. Bresciani completely. He is a man of high integrity and exceptional administrative talents. He cares about NDSU, its students and North Dakota. Calls for his resignation are unfounded, and like the Attorney General, we consider the matter closed.
"We take responsibility for actions of the Board and system office staff and any mistakes that were made in the past regarding open records or open meetings. However, the Attorney General's opinion is reflective of a time that is now behind us. We consider that chapter closed, and we are committed to setting new standards for transparency and collaboration for the State Board of Higher Education and the North Dakota University System."
