Dakota College at Bottineau Students Attend 2014 North Dakota Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference

Four members of Dakota College at Bottineau's Collegiate DECA chapter attended the North Dakota Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference held in Fargo, North Dakota on February 9-10.
Students who qualify at the State level are eligible to travel to the International Career Development Conference in Washington, DC this upcoming April 2014. Cody Brooks, Cody Milliken, Blayd Sanders and Evan Alexius represented Dakota College at Bottineau at the conference.
Cody Brooks and Cody Milliken took First Place in the Sports and Entertainment Marketing Case Study competition. Evan Alexius placed Fourth in the Travel and Tourism Business Simulation. Blayd Sanders competed in the Restaurant and Food Service Management Business Simulation.
The students are now eligible to travel to Washington, DC with their advisor, Keri Keith to represent Dakota College at Bottineau. The conference allows students to network with thousands of students, advisors and business leaders from around the world as well as compete at the international level.
Evan Alexius was also an Outstanding Student Award recipient for his hard work and dedication to the Dakota College at Bottineau DECA Chapter.
The mission of Collegiate DECA is to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
