Take a sneak peek at and vote for your favorite innovative North Dakota State University student projects leading up to Innovation Week '14.
Twenty-nine student teams will unveil their projects at a poster showcase scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the Memorial Union Plains room. Students, faculty, staff and the public are invited to view the posters from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Attendees also can vote for the People's Choice Award, which will be announced at the Innovation Week '14 awards ceremony Thursday, March 6. The Jan. 28 poster showcase, hosted by the NDSU Office of the Provost and the NDSU Research and Technology Park, also will determine which teams move on to the finals of the competition.
"At NDSU, innovation is everywhere - among our faculty, students and staff," said NDSU Provost Bruce Rafert. "Not only does the ability to innovate distinguish between a leader and a follower, it is how we pursue opportunity via change."
The fifth annual Innovation Week, scheduled for March 3-7, showcases and encourages student ingenuity. The third annual Innovation Challenge competition is open to all NDSU undergraduate and graduate students. A total of $20,000 will be awarded to students with the most innovative ideas.
