Economics professor of DSU published in widely used textbooks Posted on 4/18/2012
Fernando Quijano, assistant professor of economics at Dickinson State University, recently collaborated in the publication of two popular textbooks in economics. Quijano is currently on the advisory board for the "Economics" series by Glenn Hubbard (Columbia) and Anthony O'Brien (Leigh).
Quijano has designed all the illustrations in the textbook, which is now in its fourth edition. Quijano also produced the PowerPoint presentations for "Microeconomics," by Robert Pindyck and Daniel Rubinfield, of MIT. Both textbooks are published by Pearson Education.
A native of Bogota, Columbia, Quijano came to the United States in 1980 to further his studies in economics. Since 1998, Quijano graphics and PowerPoint presentations have been published in numerous economic textbooks used by universities all over the world. Quijano has taught economics at DSU since 1992.
