Dr. Holly McBee, assistant professor of English at Dickinson State University, is the author of "Vampires Do(n't) Exist: Using Past and Present Technologies to Make Dracula Real." The article was published in the Journal of Dracula Studies, 13 (2011), an online, blind peer-reviewed journal. The article will soon be accessible through the MLA database and it is currently available at the journal's website: http://www.blooferland.com/drc/index.php?title=Journal_of_Dracula_Studies.
McBee, who specializes in Victorian literature, has a special interest in gothic fiction. In February 2012, she taught a course for CommUniversity entitled "(Re)Incarnations of the Vampire or Dracula and Us." A DSU CommUniversity student who evaluated the course lauded McBee's presentation as "dynamic, in-depth and multi-faceted" and praised her ability to stimulate the curiosity of both college and adult audiences.
